My Top 5 Squarespace Resources I Used When Designing My Website

  1. Squaremuse Designs

I was nearing the end of my website subscription with Wix and knew I didn’t have enough time to design my website from the ground up the way I wanted to. After looking through countless Squarespace templates, I found Squaremuse. Squaremuse offers high-quality, professional, and beautiful Squarespace design templates and add-ons. The price point almost steered me away from them at first, but I am so glad it didn’t. In addition to their beautiful designs, they offer support on their products which made my website redesign process so much easier (and nearly stress-free!).

  2. Big Cat Creative

Big Cat Creative has loads of helpful blog posts on getting started with squarespace, helpful code snippets, and tips/tricks for how to create a unique squarespace website that stands out from the standard templates Squarespace provides.

  3. Squarespace Support Forum

Squarespace Support forum was a constant help throughout my website building process. I gathered a lot of helpful coding tips and snippets from various websites, but I encountered some issues when implementing my custom code that I wasn’t able to solve on my own. Squarespace’s coding and customization forum has loads of helpful threads from other Squarespace users that are facing similar problems, or are looking for the same solution to a coding issue; users on the Squarespace forum are eager to help and quick to respond with solutions to your problems.

  4. Inside The Square

Inside the Square is another resource that I use consistently when designing in squarespace. Their website is very well organized and easy to navigate, and has a variety of helpful customization and CSS tips for designing within Squarespace. My personal favorite was their tutorial on styling hyperlinks with CSS; a small detail that has made my website more cohesive and added a little touch of my brand throughout my website.  Inside the Square

Kate Scott’s blog has a category specific to squarespace design, as well as blog posts outlining how to get the most out of your squarespace experience. Several of her blog posts lead me to other Squarespace resources, and helped me understand how to best navigate and design my site for optimal results.
