Museum Exhibit
Wonderland
Wonderland is an interactive and immersive exhibit on the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. The exhibit functions to create an environment that fosters childlike wonder, curiosity, and imagination in all of the visitors while educating them on the origin of the story.
The atmosphere is whimsical and dreamlike, transporting the audience into a believable Wonderland. The exhibit will guide the visitor through an immersive storyline starting in Aliceβs Adventures in Wonderland and into Through the Looking Glass. The exhibit would feature interactive options, different rooms with especially large furniture and rooms with miniature versions, the walls guiding the viewer through the different internal struggles Alice is going through. When the visitor gets to the Through the Looking Glass section, they will pass through a doorway that is created to look like a mirror. There will be a life size game of chess for the visitor to join in on, and the option to submit your answer to the infamous riddle βwhy is a raven like a writing desk?.β In addition to these interactive experiences the exhibit would feature βfun factsβ about Lewis Carroll and behind-the-scenes facts of the book.
